So I have a 1999 Honda civic LX with 160,000 miles on it. I replaced all the belts, dropped in a new transmission, clutch, and battery about 8 months ago. It normally will start up without any problems but it has done what I'm about to explain a few times randomly. I'll get in early morning and drive to work an it will start up without a problem, but as I'm driving my anti theft system that consists of a little pull chip that kills the curcuit will begin blinking. Once I stop and turn the ignigtion off I can't start the car again unless I let it sit for 3+ hours usually. I turn the key and get full power but no clicking or turning or any sounds at all from the motor. What I believe has happened is a malfunction with the kill switch for my security system that doesn't let the car start when it's unplugged. Only problem is I put it in every which way and the light is still blinking and still won't start. If anyone has a way to by-pass this system or a simple fix please let me know! I'll include a picture of what the device looks like here. http://www.flickr.com/photos/76190501@N03/6841104941 http://www.flickr.com/photos/76190501@N03/6841104123 Any suggestions would help greatly! TL;DR- 99 Civic LX won't start possibly from security system in car. (see pictures)... Read More »
