Open Question: Car window doesn't go completely up?

I have a 97 Honda civic ex. The drivers side window isn't going up all the way. It's an electric window. It goes down all the way and up all the way until its about an inch from being closed. When it goes up and is near to being closed the window starts to shake and keeps shaking and wont go up any further. I noticed that if i push the window down with my hand it sometimes slides down a little bit. What can the problem be? Thank you for any help.
